Data Availability Policy
Research data includes information obtained or used by researchers during the research process, which allows for validation and underpins new knowledge. These data can be physical or digital, raw or analyzed, and can be qualitative or quantitative. Digital data may come in various formats and can be stored on different media.
To promote the scientific values of replication, verification, reanalysis, and reinterpretation, the journal CIENCIA EN PERSPECTIVA requires that data obtained during the research described in the article be published. This requirement is established in the "New Quality and Relevance Criteria for the Evaluation and Inclusion of Publications in the Basic Core of Argentine Scientific Journals" (RESOL-2019-1183-APN-DIR#CONICET) based on Law 26.899.
Research data from articles accepted for publication in CIENCIA EN PERSPECTIVA must be deposited, curated, and published in the Repositorio de Datos Académicos RDA-UNR. Each dataset has a unique DOI identifier and a corresponding citation. If there are limitations preventing data sharing, please refer to the Sensitive and Confidential Data Policy. Depending on the authors' institutional affiliations, data may also be deposited in other repositories that meet technical requirements.
To facilitate the curation and publication of research data, the RDA-UNR provides documentation and a team of curators to assist in meeting the requirements outlined here. Guidance on how to start using the repository and the option to request a virtual meeting with specialized curators are available.
The RDA-UNR adheres to international FAIR principles, ensuring that data are findable online and have a permanent location on the web through their DOIs. The repository facilitates the description of data so that users understand how they were obtained and can download them. This way, data deposited in the RDA-UNR can be integrated with other datasets and exchanged with other systems to optimize their reuse.
Once the data are published, they must be cited in the article's references. Similarly, if data from other sources were used in the research, those sources must also be cited in the references.
